Crew sacked over Pitt 'intrusion'
Brad Pitt
Pitt and Jolie have prompted a media frenzy in India
A US television network has sacked a producer and cameraman after they were accused of trespassing in the grounds of Brad Pitt's Hollywood home.

Staff at the actor's home said the pair had parked a van outside the property and walked on to the grounds.

A statement from E! Networks said it has not authorised "anyone working on its programme to improperly intrude onto private property".

"The individuals involved have been terminated," the statement continued.

"The network in no way condones or encourages such behaviour and would like to offer its most sincere apologies to Mr Pitt and his family."

Construction workers spotted the pair ignoring a "no trespassing" sign and entering the property on 20 October and alerted Pitt's security personnel, who contacted the Los Angeles police.

"We think they opened the gate," said Cindy Guagenti, a representative for Pitt. A police report was not immediately available.

Pitt, 42, is believed to be on location with his partner, actress Angelina Jolie, who is currently filming in India.
