What Not To Wear gets new series
Mica Paris and Lisa Butcher
Mica Paris and Lisa Butcher have been best friends for years
Singer Mica Paris and model Lisa Butcher have helped make the new format of What Not to Wear so successful a seventh series will be made.

The presenters took over from Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine, who fronted the programme since it began in 2001. The pair have since moved to ITV.

Ratings for the series, now in its fifth week, have risen to 4.9m, according to unofficial early figures.

BBC One controller Peter Fincham said he is "delighted" with the news.

Executive producers Vicki Barrass and Tracy Jeune said in a statement: "It's always a risk to introduce new presenters to such a high profile programme as this.

"Mica and Lisa understood the values of the show almost immediately and have really made themselves at home in it."

Filming for the new series begins next year.
