Woman bailed on Harrison stalking charges

George and Olivia Harrison were attacked at their UK home

A woman has been released on 3,000 bail after she was arrested inside the Hawaii estate of former Beatle George Harrison.

Cristin Keleher is due to appear in court on 11 January on charges of burglary and theft after she was found inside Mr Harrison's home in Nahiku on the remote eastern area of Maui.

Prosecutors at a preliminary hearing said the woman was stalking the 56-year-old musician.

Mr Harrison is recovering from a stab wound to the chest, received when he was attacked after disturbing an intruder at his UK home at Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire.

'Psychic connection'

The alleged incident at his Hawaii home took place before the stabbing. Ms Keleher is said to have told police that she entered through an open sliding glass door.

"She said she had cooked a frozen pizza, drank a root beer soda, she was doing her laundry and she had made a long-distance call to her mother in New Jersey," said police officer Jeffrey Hunt.

Don Carroll, caretaker and manager for the Hawaii estate, told the hearing that Ms Keleher did not have permission to be in the house.

He added that she had approached him in October and said she wanted to bump into Mr Harrison.

The court also heard, in a written statement, how the woman had, prior to her arrest, gone to the home of Mr Harrison's brother-in-law and asked for the singer, saying she "had a psychic connection with him".
