Channel 4 show to lampoon stars

Actors will play famous faces in Star Stories, including the Beckhams
Celebrities including George Michael and Jude Law are to be subjected to ridicule in a new Channel 4 show.

Star Stories, part of the broadcaster's autumn line-up, will portray the singer being bullied at the 1985 Live Aid concert by Bono and Boy George.

The former Culture Club star's recent history - including collecting rubbish in New York as part of a community service order - will be screened.

A star couple's marriage collapse will also be documented in detail.

'Greatest courtesan'

The programme is dubbed "an intimate, revealing and sometimes painfully honest examination of the end of a relationship".

The station will also unveil comedy drama Goldplated, about a family's efforts to keep their place in the wealthy "Cheshire set" when faced with bankruptcy and divorce.

Historical documentaries include The Queen Mother in Love and the story of Winston Churchill's daughter-in-law Pamela, described as "the greatest courtesan of the 20th century".

Dr David Starkey will also complete his Monarchy season by assessing the House of Windsor.

Other lifestyle shows include Ian Wright's Supersize Kids in which the footballer-turned-presenter helps a group of overweight children to reverse its fortunes.

The Great British Fat March charts the progress of a group of people attempting a walk from southern England to Scotland.
