Bruce Willis will return to the big screen in a fourth Die Hard movie next year, according to reports.
Willis last played John McClane in 1995's Die Hard with a Vengeance
The actor, 51, will reprise the role of hard-nosed police detective John McClane in the film, to be called Live Free or Die Hard.
It will be released in the US on 29 June 2007, making it a key film for next year's lucrative Independence Day weekend, Variety magazine reported.
The first Die Hard film established Willis as a box office star in 1988.
The franchise has earned more than $740m (£392m), not including DVD sales.
Live Free or Die Hard marks a return for the series after an 11-year hiatus.
The plot centres on an attack on the US computer network which threatens to bring the country to a standstill.
It will be directed by Len Wiseman, best known for the Underworld films - which star his wife, Kate Beckinsale.
Willis's recent films include comic-book adaptation Sin City and animated comedy Over the Hedge.
Last year, the actor received the Order of Arts and Letters, one of France's highest cultural honours, for his film work.
