Guns N' Roses star Axl Rose was taken ill during the final show of the band's European tour after a doctor had advised the singer not to perform.
Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach, who earlier joined the band on stage, took Rose's place to complete the concert at London's Wembley Arena.
Rose had been diagnosed with low blood pressure and low blood sugar earlier that day after performing two shows.
The singer said afterwards that the band had "an amazing tour".
"I approached this last show with equal parts determination, obligation, responsibility and insanity," he said. "It was an amazing night."
'Inspiring'
Rose was first taken ill early on Sunday morning after the band performed at Wembley Arena, followed by a surprise show at the city's Cuckoo Club.
A doctor who later visited the singer in his hotel room advised him against taking the stage on Sunday evening.
Rose managed two hours of the show, with Bach taking the microphone for part of the final song, Night Train, and the encore, Paradise City.
Guns N' Roses' European tour has played to more than 700,000 people over 32 shows, since it kicked off on 25 May in Madrid, Spain.
"I want to thank everyone in Europe and the UK for inspiring us and for giving us the opportunity to play for them," Rose said.
"We are now looking forward to the US in September."
