Singer Lily Allen has held on to the top of the UK singles chart for a second week with her hit Smile.

Actor Keith Allen's 21-year-old daughter kept her chart position in a week of few new releases, with Shakira holding number two.

One of the biggest rises of the week was for Australian band Rogue Traders, fronted by Neighbours soap actress Natalie Bassingthwaighte.

Devon rock band Muse remained at the top of the album charts.

Their Black Holes and Revelations entered at the top of the chart last week.

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has seen his solo album, The Eraser, enter the chart at number three.

The only other new entries in the top 40 were Billy Joel's greatest hits album Piano Man at 16 and Guillemots Through the Windowpane at 17.

The highest new entry in the singles chart was X-Factor winner Shayne Ward's third release, Stand By Me, which entered at number 14. His first song, That's My Goal, was a number one hit.
