Furtado holds on to singles chart

Furtado sang the official anthem for Euro 2004
Canadian star Nelly Furtado has held on to the singles top spot for the third week with hit song Maneater.

The song held off the challenge of Shakira and her song Hips Don't Lie.

Sandi Thom slipped one place to three with I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker, while Muse's Supermassive Black Hole made a splash at number four.

Sergio Mendez and the Black Eyed Peas were also celebrating after their version of Mas Que Nada shot up from 29 to six in the chart.

Valerie, by indie outfit The Zutons, debuted at number nine, while Infernal's From Paris to Berlin and the Lostprophets' Rooftops were at seven and eight respectively.

The last berth in the top 10 was taken by Pink with Who Knew, which dropped three spots, and the collaboration between Pussycat Dolls and rapper Snoop Dogg, Buttons, entered at 11.

British band Keane retain their dominance of the album chart with their record Under The Iron Sea.
