Sky to show first Kylie interview
Kylie Minogue
Kylie Minogue had surgery for breast cancer last May
Kylie Minogue's first interview since being diagnosed with breast cancer is to be shown on Sky One next month.

The singer, 38, will talk about her treatment and recovery, as well as plans for a new album and tour, in the interview - to be screened on 16 July.

Minogue revealed that she had cancer last May before having surgery in Australia two days later.

She postponed an Australian tour and cancelled a headlining appearance at the Glastonbury Festival as a result.

Stage return

The singer completed her chemotherapy in December last year but still receives regular treatment to stop the cancer returning.

Last November, tour promoter Michael Gudinski announced Minogue would perform in Australia at the end of 2006.

She will also publish a semi-autobiographical children's book, The Showgirl Princess, later this year.

Her interview with Sky will be conducted by Stars In Their Eyes host Cat Deeley.
