Sharon Osbourne has become a household name in the UK
|
Television star Sharon Osbourne is in talks with ITV to host a live chat show in the same teatime slot as Paul O'Grady on Channel 4.
Osbourne found fame in MTV reality show The Osbournes alongside rock star husband Ozzy, before becoming a judge on ITV talent show The X Factor.
She had a brief period as host of her own daytime show in the US in 2003.
An ITV spokeswoman said nothing had been commissioned yet. Paul O'Grady defected from ITV earlier this year.
Detective drama Wycliffe is currently occupying the 1700 slot on ITV after the channel initially broadcast re-runs of O'Grady's old shows.
O'Grady's teatime slot on Channel 4 is being shared with daytime television stalwarts Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan. The two programmes will rotate every three months.
