"I reckon there will always be a Spice Girls album. It's our priority," she tells Company magazine. "We'll probably be singing Wannabe on our Zimmer frames." The 23-year-old's declaration comes as she follows the other Spice Girls by launching a solo project.
The millionairess, who the magazine claims is the fourth richest woman under 30 in the UK, admits she has been very lucky. "I've never forgotten that if things had gone differently I could just as easily be stacking shelves in Sainsbury's," she said. And Emma says she counts on her family to keep her feet on the ground, saying: "To them I am just Em. When I go home Mum still says stuff like, `your room's a mess'." New Spice Girls album Even though the Spice Girls have been pursuing solo projects, they have also been recording tracks for their third album, which is expected to be released sometime next year. Mel C, who is currently on tour promoting her debut album Northern Star, explained recently: "It's a bit more mature, but it's not a mature album, but you know, a little bit more mature than the first two. "Still very poppy, quite R&B based... we feel vocally a lot stronger now after the world tour and being a four-piece." The album is the first Emma, Mel C, Mel G and Victoria have recorded without Geri Halliwell. |
