Church 'set to host C4 chat show'
Charlotte Church
Charlotte Church will be playing live dates in the UK next month
Singer Charlotte Church is recording a pilot chat show for Channel 4, director of television Kevin Lygo has revealed.

"Charlotte is still only 20 years old, but she has a connection to the public that few people have," he said at the station's spring launch in London.

"How fantastic if we could create this show around a woman rather than a male comedian. It would be wonderful to have her doing a fun show on Friday nights."

If commissioned, the show will feature a mix of comedy and celebrity chat.

The Welsh performer first revealed her talents as a TV presenter when she guest hosted Have I Got News For You at the age of 17.

She recently appeared on the first edition of Davina McCall's new chat show on BBC One.

Last month she was shortlisted for best British female at the Brit Awards, losing out to KT Tunstall.

Her latest single, Moodswings (To Come At Me Like That), was released on Monday.
