CSI star Eric Szmanda has pulled out of performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, forcing the cancellation of the one-man play he was to star in.
Eric Szmanda plays Greg Sanders in the original CSI series
Szmanda, who plays forensic scientist Greg Sanders in the drama, had to cancel his appearance due to a change in filming commitments.
He was due to star in Hyenas, at the Zoo venue in Edinburgh.
Venue manager James MacKenzie said the cancellation was down to an "unexpected change" in Szmanda's schedule.
"An in-demand television star like Eric will always have to fit events like the Fringe around his filming schedule, so we totally understand why he has had to cancel the show," said Mr McKenzie.
The play, which Szmanda has previously performed in Hollywood, was set to open on 7 August.
Mr Mackenzie said that while he was "disappointed" the actor would not be joining them this year, he hoped he may in the future.
