Broadcaster David Dimbleby is to present a major new BBC series about the architectural heritage of Britain.
David Dimbleby took to the road for A Picture of Britain
How We Built Britain will be the second big project the 67-year-old has tackled alongside his regular role of chairing Question Time.
Dimbleby fronted A Picture of Britain last year, in which he discovered how artists had been influenced and inspired by the countryside.
The new six-part series is expected to be aired in the autumn.
The programme will see Dimbleby take to the road once again to explore significant buildings around the country.
Dimbleby's first series was broadcast on Sunday evenings and pulled in an average of five million viewers.
The broadcaster also fronts the BBC's TV coverage of general elections.
