Orlaith entered the Big Brother house four weeks into the series

Orlaith McAllister has walked out of the Big Brother house just a day after being saved in a shock public vote.

The 26-year-old Belfast model, who has attracted heavy tabloid attention, left on Saturday after being saved by viewers on Friday.

She beat student Kemal Shahin in the eviction vote but blamed her departure on fellow contestant Derek Laud.

"I couldn't stand being in the house another week with him," she said. Five contestants are left in the show.

Orlaith entered the house four weeks into the series, along with fellow contestant Eugene Sully, and had been 1-4 favourite to be evicted on Friday.

But on hearing the public vote results, Kemal announced "I'm done," and hugged housemates before leaving.

He changed into a vibrant green outfit for his eviction and walked out wearing a pair of gold stilettos.
