Comedian Vic Reeves is to become the host of a regular weekend slot on Virgin Radio, the station has said.
Reeves and wife Nancy Sorrell appeared in I'm A Celebrity...
Reeves - who appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! last year - will stand in for Madness frontman Suggs while he is on holiday.
The weekend evening slot has been hosted by Suggs since June 2004 and plays a mix of old and new party songs.
"I am now rather amazed that anyone is letting me lead the nation into a party," said Reeves.
Virgin Radio's director of programming, Paul Jackson, said Reeves would prove to be the "perfect party host" in Suggs' absence.
Earlier this year the comic, best known for his BBC TV shows Shooting Stars and The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer, was given a driving ban and a community service order for drink-driving.
The 46-year-old has spent his 100 hours transforming an old boxing gym in Maidstone, Kent, into a theatre and drama workshop.
He crashed his vintage Jaguar into a stationary car in the village of Boughton Malherbe, near his home, on 25 March.
