Actress Sienna Miller has pulled out of a performance in London's West End in the wake of fiance Jude Law's public apology for having an affair.
Law and Miller met on the set of Alfie
Her role of Celia in Shakespeare's As You Like It was taken by understudy Denise Gough after a management decision at Wyndham's Theatre.
She took to the stage on Monday night without her engagement ring and was tearful after the performance ended.
The 23-year-old returned to the theatre for Wednesday's show.
The 32-year-old actor issued a statement after newspaper reports about the affair.
"I just want to say I am deeply ashamed and upset that I've hurt Sienna and the people most close to us," he said.
"There is no defence for my actions," he added.
Law and Miller, 23, became engaged last year after they met on the set of Alfie.
Law, who also recently starred in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, was filming in New Orleans when the affair with Ms Wright began, it has been reported.
Ms Wright was employed to look after one of Law's children by his ex-wife Sadie Frost as he filmed his new picture, All The King's Men, earlier this year.
Frost, 38, and Law married in 1997 and have three children together. Frost was granted a divorce from Law in October 2003 citing "unreasonable behaviour" on his part.
