Vanessa Layton-McIntosh became the seventh person evicted from Big Brother - after her fellow housemates chose her to leave.

In a shock twist to the contestants of the Channel 4 reality show, they had to evict either her or Makosi Musambasi.

The pair did not even realise they were up for eviction following an elaborate hoax set-up by Big Brother producers.

All but one of the housemates opted for student Vanessa as they were given just 10 seconds to make their decision.

On leaving the house, Vanessa said it had been "hard to deal" with listening to her fellow housemates choose her to leave.

Earlier in the week the housemates had been led to believe Anthony, Craig and Kemal were facing the public vote.

Instead it was the other six who the public had been voting on, with the two who got the most votes left to battle it out for the votes of their fellow housemates.
