Jim Carrey comedy Fun with Dick and Jane has fended off a challenge from Steven Spielberg's Munich to stay top of the UK box office.

The US remake took 1.38m in its second week at the top of the UK charts.

Munich, about the aftermath to the murder of 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympic Games, entered the UK box office at number two, taking 1.2m.

Jennifer Aniston movie Rumor Has It was the only other new entry in the top 10, debuting at number three.

Ang Lee's critically acclaimed cowboy romance Brokeback Mountain, expected to dominate the Oscar nominations on Tuesday, fell one place to number four after a month in the charts.

The film has earned 6.1m since its UK release in early January.

Memoirs of Geisha, based on the best-selling book by Arthur Golden, fell one place to complete the top five.
