Conti will conduct Oscars again

Bill Conti is an Oscar night veteran
Composer Bill Conti will take charge of music at the Academy Awards on 5 March for the 18th time.

Conti, who won an Oscar in 1983 for The Right Stuff, will conduct the orchestra during the Oscar show, which is held at the Kodak Theatre, Hollywood.

His film credits include The Karate Kid, The Thomas Crown Affair, Broadcast News, Private Benjamin and several Rocky films.

He had a hit single in the 70s with Gonna Fly Now, the theme from Rocky.
