Two of country music's biggest stars, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, have married in a private ceremony at their home in Oklahoma.
Garth Brooks proposed to Trisha Yearwood on stage
Brooks, 43, and Yearwood, 41, exchanged vows in front of family members, their spokesperson Nancy Seltzer said.
"They said it is the perfect Christmas gift to each other and they couldn't be any happier," she said.
Brooks got down on one knee and proposed to Yearwood in May in front of 7,000 fans at a concert in California.
He is credited with widening the appeal of country music in the 1990s by merging traditional country sounds with pop, folk and rock.
His Ropin' The Wind album was the first country recording to make its debut at the top of the US pop charts. His current album, Scarecrow, has gone triple platinum.
Yearwood won female vocalist of the year at the Country Music Awards in 1997 and 1998.
The marriage is the second for Brooks, who has three children, and the third for Yearwood.
