Arrest call for American Pie star

An arrest warrant has been issued for American Pie actress Natasha Lyonne for failing to appear in court after allegedly threatening to molest a dog.

Ms Lyonne, 26, played Jessica in the first two parts of the film trilogy.

She was charged with criminal mischief, harassment and trespass last year after allegedly telling a neighbour: "I'm going to sexually molest your dog."

But she did not turn up on time for her hearing at the Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday.

'Stormed in'

The charges relate to an incident last December when authorities said she banged on the neighbour's door, stormed into their apartment, ripped a mirror from the wall and threatened the dog.

Judge Abraham Clott issued the warrant after calling her case three times.

Prosecutors said Ms Lyonne turned up an hour late and stayed 30 minutes before leaving.

In 2001, she was sentenced to six months probation after pleading guilty to losing control of her car while driving drunk.

Ms Lyonne has also featured in films including Blade: Trinity, Die, Mommie, Die and Scary Movie 2.
