Elaine Lordan may return to the show
Former EastEnders actress Elaine Lordan has been taken to hospital after collapsing on the set of the latest I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The 39-year-old, who played Slater sister Lynne Hobbs, felt unwell after having to tightrope-walk into the camp.

A spokeswoman for the Australia-based ITV show said Lordan hoped to return to the contest, which started on Sunday.

Sid Owen, who also performed in EastEnders, is the bookmakers' favourite to win the reality show.

The new edition of I'm A Celebrity also features Carol Thatcher, David Dickinson and child star Jimmy Osmond.

'Wait and see'

An ITV spokeswoman said: "Elaine is doing well and she is hoping to return to the camp. They kept her in to make sure that she is OK."

Asked if she would be returning to the show, the spokeswoman said: "We have just got to wait and see."

She added: "She didn't feel very well after doing the tightrope walk. After that she had two occasions when she didn't feel very well."

Bookmaker William Hill currently has Owen to win with odds of 3-1.

But support for David Dickinson is growing. The Bargain Hunt presenter has had his odds slashed from 6-1 to 4-1.

Coral has similarly halved Dickinson's odds from 10-1 to 5-1, after punters rushed to back the TV antiques expert.

Previous winners of the show include former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona, former England cricketer Phil Tufnell and DJ Tony Blackburn.
