ENO extends sponsorship package
Glastonbury opera
The ENO performed at the Glastonbury Festival last year
English National Opera (ENO) has extended its sponsorship with satellite TV broadcasters Sky and Artsworld for a further three years.

An initial deal was struck two years ago shortly after a 4.2m government grant saved the ENO from extinction.

The funding to 2009 is now worth almost 5m in total to the company.

It includes increased support for ENO Baylis, the education wing of the ENO, and backing for a ticket scheme to encourage families to visit the opera.
