The 67-year-old actress went home from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Sunday, her spokesman, Warren Cowan said. Taylor is recovering well from a compression fracture of a vertebra and undergoing physical therapy at home, he added. Her recovery is expected to take several weeks. Taylor broke a bone in her back in the accident at her Bel Air home on 19 August. Her doctor, Patrick Rhoten, diagnosed Taylor, as having suffered a "compression fracture of the 12th thoracic vertebrae." The actress has suffered a string of health problems and has undergone more than 20 surgical operations in her life. She first injured her back in 1944, when she was thrown from a horse during the filming of the show jumping movie National Velvet. In 1998, she fractured a vertebrae in a fall at her home. The year before, she had a benign tumor removed from her brain. |
