Skandar Keynes, who plays Edmond, William Moseley (Peter) Georgie Henley (Lucy) and Anna Popplewell (Susan
The film will be released in time for Christmas
The four child stars of upcoming movie The Chronicles of Narnia have appeared in London's Leicester Square.

The youngsters play the Pevensie children in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, which hopes to rival Harry Potter at the Christmas box office.

Adapted from the CS Lewis book, the film also features Tilda Swinton as the White Witch and Liam Neeson as the voice of Aslan the lion.

In the story, they discover a wardrobe gateway to the snowy land of Narnia.

The youngest of the four, Georgie Henley, 10, from Ilkley, West Yorkshire, who stars as Lucy, is making her professional acting debut.

"This is my first movie so it's quite overwhelming for me, but it's amazing," she said.

"I don't want to sound selfish or anything, but I kind of like being in the spotlight. It's nice to be noticed."

Sixteen-year-old Anna Popplewell, who played Colin Firth's daughter in the film Girl with a Pearl Earring, is Susan.

Her sister Lulu appeared in Love Actually and her brother Freddie was in recent film Peter Pan.
