The BBC has won two prizes at the Association of Online Publisher (AOP) awards, held in London.
The BBC News website won the award for best site in the consumer category, while BBC radio's downloading trial won the award for best digital platform.
The news website was shortlisted alongside sites from the Guardian, Conde Nast and Associated New Media.
The AOP is an industry body representing publishers which "create original, branded, quality content".
BBC radio's downloading trial lets users download selected radio content to their PCs and transfer the audio to MP3 players such as an iPod.
Highlights of Chris Moyles' Radio 1 show, From Our Own Correspondent, Mark Kermode's film reviews and Sportsweek are among the programmes in the trial.
The Guardian, Emap and Reed Business each won two awards at the ceremony, held at the Hilton in London on Friday.
The BBC news website was also nominated in the best editorial team (consumer) category and in the innovation category for the News Player, which delivers broadband quality audio and video.
