Gloria Trevi has been described as the "Mexican Madonna"

Mexican pop star Gloria Trevi has returned to the stage to resurrect her career, having spent years in jail fighting rape and kidnapping charges.
Trevi hit world headlines in 1999 after fleeing to avoid facing charges. She was later arrested and held in Brazil before being deported back to Mexico.
She was cleared in 2004 of using her image to attract minors to be abused.
"A lot of people thought this dream must be madness, but we are not crazy," Trevi shouted to the crowd.
The Trevolution tour kicked off in Trevi's hometown of Monterrey on Friday, in front of about 8,000 fans.
"I want to see the same Gloria," said 27-year-old fan Vanesa Vitaurre.
"She may not crawl around on the floor anymore, but I think she will have the same energy, the same rebelliousness."
Jail pregnancy
Trevi sold five million albums during the 1990s and was dubbed the Mexican Madonna because of her wild image.
While in prison in Brazil awaiting deportation she fell pregnant and had a baby.
She and her manager Sergio Andrade, who is the father of her child, were accused of luring young girls with the promise of fame.
Trevi was cleared after a court ruled there was not enough evidence, while Mr Andrade remains jailed on rape, kidnapping and corruption of minors charges.
The singer's comeback started in December with the release of an album, which has sold 100,000 copies in the US.
She has planned an extensive tour of the US after her Mexican dates, kicking off in Nevada on 1 April.
