Wax models for Little Britain duo

The duo selected Lou and Andy as their most iconic characters
Waxwork models of Little Britain stars David Walliams and Matt Lucas are to go on display at Madame Tussauds.

The BBC comedy duo have been attending sittings with sculptors ahead of an unveiling at the London attraction.

Walliams and Lucas will be seen from 10 October as two of their characters from the TV series - helper Lou and his patient-friend Andy.

The actors selected Lou and Andy as the most iconic of their Little Britain alter egos.

Sculptors have been using a real mould to create Lou's bad teeth and taking advice from hairdressing experts to make Andy's locks appear as lifeless as on the small screen.

In January, Walliams and Lucas were named the most powerful people in TV comedy in a poll by listings magazine Radio Times.

The show has picked up a clutch of awards since its launch as a TV series on BBC3 in 2003, including two Baftas.

A third series will be broadcast in the autumn.
