Vic Reeves is to become the host of a regular show on Virgin Radio, the station has confirmed.
Vic Reeves recently wrote and appeared in Monkey Trousers
The comedian - who rose to fame in the early 1990s with his TV show Vic Reeves Big Night Out - will host Vic Reeves Big Night In from later this month.
The show will go out every Wednesday and Thursday between 7pm and 10pm, starting on 21 September.
Reeves presented Suggs' Virgin Party Classics show last month while the Madness frontman was on holiday.
Paul Jackson, programme director at Virgin Radio, said: "I am amazed that Vic has not had his own radio show before, and after hearing him standing in for Suggs, we had to find him a slot.
"Our listeners grew up with Vic and his humour is perfect for the station."
Virgin described Vic Reeves' Big Night In as "a mix of madness and mayhem".
Reeves, 46, who appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! last year, said he was looking forward to taking up the challenge.
"I love Virgin Radio already, it plays my favourite music, and I will be like an ape in a confectioners.
"I have free reign on my show and I intend to abuse it by talking to parishioners from all over the UK in dulcet tones with quizzes and all manner of nonsense whilst playing the finest pop in Christendom."
