Singer Seal to marry model Klum

Seal began his career singing on the 1990 dance hit Killer

Singer Seal has become engaged to model Heidi Klum after he proposed on a mountaintop while skiing in Canada.

Londoner Seal, 41, has had 10 UK hits and was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2004 for his song Love's Divine.

No date has been set for the wedding. German model Klum, 31, was married to hairdresser Ric Pipino until 2002.

"We reached this beautiful place by helicopter one day before Christmas Eve," Klum said on her website. "It was a unique experience."

Seal's first chart success came in April 1990 as he sang on dance act Adamski's UK number one hit Killer.

Eight months later he launched a solo career, which has spawned international hits including Crazy, Future Love Paradise and Kiss from a Rose.
