Hollywood leader Jack Valenti has been honoured on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after four decades lobbying for the US film industry.

Mr Valenti, 82, has been the face of the Hollywood movie industry for 38 years, breaking new ground in copyright protection and anti-piracy laws.

He was accompanied at Monday's ceremony by his friend, actor Kirk Douglas.

Mr Valenti recently announced his retirement as president of the Motion Picture Association of America.
