Jagger paternity proved

Mick Jagger: Demanded DNA tests to prove he was Lucas's father

Blood tests have proved Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is the father of Brazilian model Luciana Morad's two-month-old son, a spokesman for the singer has said.

Jagger, 56, demanded the DNA tests to prove he was the father of Lucas, who was born in May.

"The tests show Mick Jagger is Lucas's father," Jagger's spokesman said.

The positive result now allows Ms Morad to take legal moves to demand maintenance from Jagger, although the his spokesman did not know if she would pursue a settlement.

The news that Jagger was a father again for the seventh time was broken to him by his lawyers as he holidayed in France with his former partner Jerry Hall and their four children.

Ms Hall reached a financial settlement with Jagger earlier this month after agreeing that their 1990 Hindu wedding in Bali had never been legal.

It was Ms Morad's pregnancy that reportedly spurred Ms Hall into seeking divorce proceedings from Jagger last Christmas.

Ms Morad, 29, is said to have had a three-month affair with Jagger in Brazil, after meeting him at a Rolling Stones concert. She named her baby Lucas Morad Jagger.

Aside from his four children with Jerry Hall, Jagger also has one child with his first wife Bianca Jagger and another with author and actress Marsha Hunt.
