Collins repeats marriage vows

Phil Collins and his new wife Orianne enter the church

Pop veteran Phil Collins has repeated his wedding vows to 27-year-old Orianne Cevey at a luxury hotel in Switzerland, having already married her on Friday.

The 48-year-old, who lives by the shores of Lake Geneva, married his Swiss girlfriend at a quiet civil ceremony in the town hall of the village of Begnins near Geneva.

Collins has been saying for several months that he planned to marry his Swiss girlfriend.

In May he said: "It's inevitable. We are going to marry and have children. We have been together for four years and we are very happy."

Previous marriages

Twice-married Collins met Cevey, who runs a marketing consultancy and handles advertising for a bank and a football club, four years ago.

He has three children from his two previous marriages and there have been tensions following those break-ups.

He did not speak for a year to his children from his first marriage - Joely, now 26, and Simon, 21.

That followed a bitter divorce in 1982 from his first wife, partly caused by his continual absences due to his touring schedule.

That row was made public in 1996 when Andrea, who lives in Vancouver, Canada, accused Collins of using their split as a publicity stunt.

The feud ended when Collins rang Simon to draw a line under the problems and the singer says he now gets along well with his son.

Collins left his second wife, Jill, and his daughter Lily, now nine, after 10 years of living together. Jill received a £17m divorce settlement.
