Former US President Bill Clinton is the latest high-profile target for a cameo appearance in The Simpsons, producer Al Jean has revealed.
An episode featuring UK Prime Minister Tony Blair was broadcast a year ago.
Mr Jean said they tried to get appearances from all former presidents 10 years ago.
"The only nice letter we got was from the assistant to
President Reagan, but everybody else said, 'you're out of your mind'," he said.
"We're going to try for Bill Clinton again when he's feeling better - we haven't tried since Blair did it, but that might make a difference."
