Zeta Jones stars at premiere
Catherine Zeta Jones arrives with Michael Douglas
The blockbuster film Entrapment has had its UK premiere in Edinburgh - where all eyes were on its star, Catherine Zeta Jones, who arrived with Hollywood actor Michael Douglas.
The 29-year-old actress and her 54-year-old partner posed together outside the city's Odeon cinema, where 1,000 fans had gathered to greet them and Zeta Jones' co-star, Sean Connery.
Wearing a tartan tie to demonstrate his commitment to the new Scottish Parliament, the 68-year-old star received a rapturous reception - as the James Bond theme blasted out from a flat next door to the cinema, to the delight of the crowd.
Other names at the premiere included footballer Ally McCoist, actor John Gordon Sinclair, author Irvine Welsh, broadcaster Muriel Gray, and Scottish National Party leader Alex Salmond, with whom Connery campaigned in the Scottish Parliament elections.
But a plan is hatched for them both to carry out a multi-billion dollar robbery linked to the start of the new millennium.
Directed by British film-maker Jon Amiel, it has already made $145m (£90m) in the US and made Zeta Jones into a Hollywood sensation.
She left the UK four years ago to seek her fortune in Hollywood, and secured her first big hit last year with The Mask Of Zorro alongside Antonio Banderas.
Now she is reportedly able to command £5m for a film - though her relationship with Douglas has put her at the top of the tabloid news agenda.
Earlier this week Zeta Jones told Hello! magazine: "Michael has always been great to me.
"He's given me a lot of support when I've needed a friendly helping hand, and he's a charming guy and a real gentleman."
Entrapment opens across the UK on 2 July.
