Three Lions tops football anthems
David Baddiel and Frank Skinner
Three Lions, with Baddiel and Skinner, was first used for Euro 96
Three Lions, the Euro 96 song that paired comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner with the Lightning Seeds, has won a best football anthem poll.

The song, re-released several times since, beat Queen's We Are the Champions and New Order's World in Motion in a VH2 music channel vote.

In fourth place was Ant & Dec's 2002 World Cup track We're On The Ball.

England captain David Beckham topped the list of footballers fans wanted to hear rapping on a track.

Defender Gary Neville came bottom of the list of singing footballers.

The Farm's All Together Now was voted the favourite of the Euro 2004 football anthems, followed by Come On England by 4-4-2 and Born in England by Twisted X.

The poll comes just days after England's last-minute 2-1 defeat at the hands of France in their first game of the tournament.

All Together Now failed to top the UK singles chart, debuting at number 10, but has since gone higher in the charts.
