Stars of the computer animated film Shrek 2 have attended the film's Hollywood premiere.

Actress Cameron Diaz joined Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy at the screening on Saturday night.

All three reprised their voicing roles in the sequel to the Oscar-winning original Shrek.

The film's comedy, characters and ground-breaking computer technology made the original film a box office smash in 2001.

The sequel is expected to recreate the original film's success along with other summer blockbusters Troy and Spiderman 2.
