David Soul, who played Hutch in the 70s TV show Starsky and Hutch, has become a British citizen.
The 61-year-old has been living in the UK for almost 10 years and is now starring as talk show host Jerry Springer in a West End musical.
He received his new citizenship last week and said he was very proud to now be British.
"It was very sweet, very warm. You were welcomed in there like it was the first day of school," he said.
The Faces trio reunite on stage
Three members of The Faces reunited on stage when Ronnie Wood and Ian McLagan joined Rod Stewart at his gig at the Hollywood Bowl.
Wood, who left the band to join the Rolling Stones, accompanied Stewart on five songs, including the finale of Ooh La La as McLagan played organ.
The pair last appeared together at a show marking the Olympic torch arriving in London in June.
When Wood joined the Stones in 1975 Stewart concentrated on his solo career.
Baby son for Frasier star Grammer
A surrogate mother has given birth to the second child of Frasier star Kelsey
Grammer and his wife.
A spokesman for the couple said the boy - named Jude Gordon - was born in Sacramento, California, at the weekend.
Grammer and his wife, Camille, already have a daughter, Mason Olivia, who was born to a surrogate mother in 2001.
The actor won three Emmy awards for his role as psychiatrist Dr Frasier Crane. Frasier ended its 11-year run on TV earlier this year.
Jones and Westenra in Silent duet
Singer and broadcaster Aled Jones is to team up with Hayley Westenra to perform a duet of Silent Night.
Jones and 17-year-old Westenra - the fastest-selling classical artist to date - plan to release the duet at Christmas.
In the last year the pair have sold over 1.5 million records in the UK between them.
Jones, who presents Songs of Praise, is due to star in The Little Prince on BBC Two, while Westenra starts a sell-out tour of the UK in November.
Actress charged after Bush rally
Actress Rosario Dawson has been charged after being arrested at an anti-President Bush march in New York.
She has been charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and the obstruction of governmental administration.
Dawson, 25, and actor Vija Grosgalvis, 28, were in Manhattan filming a scene for the independent film Medium Cool on Sunday, when they were arrested.
They say they were using protests by thousands of protesters marching past Madison Square Garden as a backdrop.
