Illusionist Roy Horn turned out to watch a Las Vegas show he produced with partner Siegfried Fischbacher, nearly a year after he was mauled by a tiger.

"He stayed for the whole show and loved it," said Siegfried and Roy spokesman Dave Kirvin.

Horn also met with the cast of the Cuban-themed show after the revue.

Horn, 59, suffered a stroke which left him partially paralysed after he was attacked by a tiger during a live performance in Las Vegas in October.

He returned to Las Vegas from Denver at the weekend after spending two weeks in a rehabilitation hospital.

Privacy issues

The US Department of Agriculture has been trying to obtain a video of the fateful evening from the producers of the Siegfried & Roy act, but the comapany, Feld Entertainment, has refused to release it.

"Feld Entertainment is co-operating with the USDA and will continue to provide the agency with the necessary information to complete its pending investigation, while also protecting Roy Horn and his family's privacy," the company said in a statement.

The cat, a seven-year-old white tiger called Montecore, grabbed Horn by the neck and dragged him off stage at the MGM Mirage hotel.

The show, which ran for 13 years, was cancelled in view of Horn's long recovery period.
