R'n'B star R Kelly took top honours at Billboard's annual R'n'B/Hip-Hop Awards, winning seven out of the eight categories he was nominated for.
R Kelly won the award for top artist among others
Kelly took home awards for top artist, songwriter, producer, singles artist, male artist, singles and singles airplay for Step in the Name of Love.
Beyonce and OutKast were also among the winners.
The fourth annual award ceremony was held at 1501 Barton G, in Miami Beach, on Friday night.
The ceremony capped the fifth annual Billboard-American Urban Radio Networks R&B/Hip-Hop Conference.
Kelly, whose career continues to soar despite his personal life being dogged by controversy, only failed to win one category he was nominated for.
That category - top albums artist - went to Southern hip-hop duo OutKast.
They also won three other awards - top artist duo or group, album and rap album, for Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.
Beyonce was named both top female artist and new artist.
The awards are determined by sales and radio airplay data that informs Billboard's weekly charts.
