An amateur crew of 100 will work on a new film for BBC television
BBC viewers are being given the chance to work on a television film, from its earliest stages to its broadcast.

Home Movie is looking for a cast and crew of 100 people, none of whom have worked in film or television before.

Guided by a professional producer and director, their film-making progress will be documented on BBC Two.

In addition to appearing on the BBC, the completed film will be shown in special cinema screenings. Applicants are sought via the BBC Talent website.

It will be open to people from all ages, skills and backgrounds as long as they are new to the profession.

Crew applicants will be shortlisted via an online questionnaire, with interviews and auditions taking place in seven locations around the country.

The film's casting and interview process will be followed on BBC Three.

As part of the project, public master-classes and workshops will offer advice and information about re-training in a new profession.
