Hong Kong pop star hurt in fight
On of Hong Kong's most popular pop stars has been hurt in a fight with two teenage boys.

Edison Chen, 23, was punched in a busy shopping street in the busy Central retail district, police reports say.

The two teenagers approached Chen outside a record store and a fight broke out after Chen asked them if they recognised him.

Chen suffered neck and face injuries but refused hospital treatment and police said no arrests were made.

Police said thousands of people would have been shopping or leaving their offices at the time of the fight, which happened at 1700 local time (0900 GMT) on Monday.

The South China Morning Post newspaper, quoting witnesses, said the youths mimicked the singer's dance moves before the fight broke out.

Chen is among the latest wave of Cantonese-language pop singers - or Canto-pop stars - whose boy-band appeal has gained Chinese music fans all over Asia.
