Nadia Sawalha and Nicky Campbell will front the new show
Nicky Campbell and Nadia Sawalha are to be the hosts of BBC One's replacement for the Kilroy programme.

They will take turns to present Now You're Talking!, a half-hour discussion programme with a studio audience due to begin in the middle of March.

Campbell presents the breakfast show on BBC Radio Five Live, while former EastEnders actress Sawalha hosts BBC One's Holiday in The Sun.

Other guest presenters may front the show later in the spring.

Campbell, who has already hosted discussion shows for ITV in London and the Midlands, said: "It's a great opportunity to be part of a new show for BBC daytime and I'm excited to be doing more studio discussions."

'Fascinated'

Sawalha, whose live documentary City Hospital returns to BBC One in the spring, said: "I've always dreamed of doing a show like this. I'm fascinated by people's lives and experiences and this is a wonderful way to explore what really matters to people in the UK today."

BBC daytime controller Alison Sharman said she was "delighted" to have signed the pair up.

"I think this is a great opportunity to bring a fresh look and feel to mornings on BBC One, with presenters who each offer different strengths and qualities to the show."

The show replaces Kilroy, which was dropped after a newspaper column by presenter Robert KIlroy-Silk which described Arabs as "suicide bombers" and "limb amputators".

Kilroy-Silk resigned as host of the programme, but his company will produce the new show.
