A film about executed murderer Aileen Wuornos by documentary-maker Nick Broomfield is to be shown on Channel 4.

Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer will be shown as part of the channel's spring line-up, which was revealed on Thursday.

Wuornos, executed in Florida in 2002, also inspired the Oscar-nominated drama Monster, starring Charlize Theron.

Channel 4 also confirmed a film about the Omagh bomb and new series of comedies Black Books and Bo Selecta.

"Fresh, fun and irreverent" nursing comedy drama No Angels - which has drawn criticism from the Royal College of Nursing for giving the profession a bad image - is another major new show.

And the results of Bollywood Star - a talent show to find new stars for Indian films - will be screened, along with new series of Big Brother and The Games.
