Author JK Rowling and Ricky Gervais have been beaten by the designer of the iPod to be named the most influential person on British culture.

Jonathan Ive, who designed the pocket-sized music player, beat the Harry Potter writer into second place.
Golden Globe winner Gervais, the creator and star of The Office, came third in the list put together by a panel of culture experts.
London-born Ive is now vice-president of design at Apple in California.
The designer also helped to shape the original iMac computer and its portable counterpart, the iBook.
The music download gadget is about the size of a cigarette packet and can hold some 10,000 songs.
Other influential figures include film star Ewan McGregor, the highest actor on the list at number four. Fashion designer John Galliano was fifth.
Welsh Oscar winner Catherine Zeta Jones makes the list at seven, while Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom weighs in at 12.
Irish-born comedian and television host Graham Norton was rated at number eight on the Top 50 Cultural Movers and Shakers.
Phoenix Nights star and fellow comic Peter Kay sneaks into the list at 46.

Director of Blade Runner and Alien, Sir Ridley Scott, finished just inside the top 10, with Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes at 15.
Television hosts Ant & Dec, who have just presented the highly popular I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, finished ahead of fashion designers Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen.
The city of Glasgow made it onto the list at 48 as the only geographical location which the experts consider has cultural pulling power.
The full list will be revealed on BBC Three on Thursday evening at 2100 GMT.
Among the experts who put together the list were Janine Gibson, editor of Media Guardian, designer Betty Jackson and Phillip Dodd, director of the Institute of Contemporary Art.
The programme is being broadcast to mark the digital station's first birthday.
