Michelle loses hold on top spot
Michelle McManus
McManus held the top spot for three weeks
Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus has been knocked off the top of the singles charts by the dance track Take Me To The Clouds Above, from LMC Vs U2.

The track, which samples a U2 hit, ends McManus' three-week run at number one.

Other new entries into the top 10 include Snow Patrol, LostProphets and former Spice Girl Emma (Bunton).

In the album charts, Katie Melua retains the number one spot. New entries included Air at number two and The Coral at number five.

At number two in the singles chart this week was Kelis with Milkshake, not moving from last week. Outkast's Hey Ya! also stays in the same place at number four.

Snow Patrol, a relatively little-known guitar band from Northern Ireland, reached a surprisingly high place in the charts with number five

It follows Scottish band Franz Ferdinand's number three placing with their single Take Me Out two weeks ago.

In the albums chart Dido slipped five places from number two to number seven, but Black Eyed Peas kept their number three slot for another week.
