Ill Bowie delays tour again
Rock legend David Bowie has put back the start of his US tour for a second time after failing to recover from flu.

The singer had already cancelled two shows but has now been forced to postpone two more in Boston on Tuesday and Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Doctors have told him to stay in bed for a few more days, further delaying the start of his first North American tour for eight years.

Promoters expected it to start in Toronto, Canada, on Friday, they said.

US Idol Studdard makes chart bid

American Idol 2 winner Ruben Studdard will try to recapture the spotlight in the US when his debut album, Soulful, is released on Tuesday.

Studdard - dubbed "the velvet teddy bear" - has been overshadowed by the TV talent show's runner-up, Clay Aiken, since the show ended in May.

Aiken beat Studdard in a singles battle and the runner-up's first album went to number one in the US in October.

But Studdard earned a Grammy nomination for best male R&B vocal last week.

Birthday tribute for Doors singer

Surviving members of rock group The Doors burnt a rose and a poem at Jim Morrison's grave on Monday, which would have been the singer's 60th birthday.

Guitarist Robby Krieger and keyboardist Ray Manzarek paid the personal tribute to Morrison, who died in 1971, at the Paris cemetery where he was buried.

"We're trying to evoke the spirit of Jim," Krieger said.

Dozens of fans, who covered the tomb with candles, flowers, beer cans and photos, watched the 1960s icons.

He was released on Jamaican $150,000 (£1,440) bail and could face up to six months in jail if found guilty.

The star, whose songs included Boom Bye Bye, must return to court on 9 January.
