Jolie is in the UK for a film première
A British version of MTV's flagship Total Request Live (TRL) show launched on Tuesday with a star-studded guestlist.

The programme is making its first UK broadcast from MTV's studios in Camden, north London.

In the US, TRL has become one of the music industry's most influential shows, broadcasting from a studio in Times Square, New York.

The debut edition, which began at 1630 BST, was expected to feature Tomb Raider actress Angelina Jolie, rock band Foo Fighters and chart stars Blazin' Squad.

Jolie is in the UK for the London première of the Tomb Raider movie sequel.

The guests are joining host Dave Berry for the first instalment of the daily show, which will be seen on MTV UK & Ireland.

It counts down the top 10 videos as voted for by viewers.

It also promises forthcoming interviews with stars such as Beyonce Knowles, 50 Cent, P Diddy and Harrison Ford.

In the US the show helped to boost the careers of acts such as Britney Spears and Eminem.
