Charlotte's Wonder-ful record

Celebrity pals: Charlotte Church with George Michael
Welsh schoolgirl Charlotte Church has made history in the US charts - by becoming the youngest artist to enter the Top 30 album countdown.

The 13-year-old's album Voice Of An Angel has entered number 28 in the Billboard chart and gone straight in at number one in the classical chart, with sales of more than 250,000.

Charlotte, from Llandaff, Cardiff, beat the previous record holder - Stevie Wonder - by one month, and has also become the youngest British artist in the US charts.

She is also the youngest artist to be number one in the US classical chart. Last year, Voice of Angel made her the youngest artist to enter the UK album chart at the age of 12.

Sony Music signed her in 1997 after she sang for just five seconds with her aunt on a TV talent show. To sweeten the deal, the music giant took her and her family a trip to Disneyland.
